Cultural and creative industries are emerging as a strategic driver of the development of Africa’s audiovisual sector, at the crossroads of youth employment, economic growth, and cultural influence. Driven by the rise of local production and digital distribution platforms, demand for African content is growing rapidly on both domestic and international markets. The challenge now is to move from fragmented initiatives to structured audiovisual ecosystems capable of linking creation, production, distribution, financing, and training. The structuring of value chains and access to appropriate financing are critical to enabling the audiovisual sector to scale up and establish itself as a sustainable lever of economic growth and soft power across the continent.
